Signing in and connecting Google Vault

Signing in takes a Google Workspace account on a Vault-eligible plan; connecting Vault is a one-time step performed by your Workspace administrator.

Account requirements

Go to app.scoopvault.io and sign in using your Google Workspace account. You must use a Workspace account on a plan that includes Google Vault (Business Plus, Enterprise Standard/Plus, Frontline, or equivalent). Personal Gmail accounts will not work for connecting Vault.

Connecting Google Vault

After signing in, go to Matters, click Connect Google Vault, and complete the Google OAuth flow. The connection is usually performed by a Workspace administrator with Google Vault privileges and takes around ten minutes, depending on your access, consent flow and any internal approval steps. No software is installed in your environment.

What the consent screen asks for

The consent screen requests: Manage your eDiscovery data (to create Vault exports on your behalf); View your eDiscovery data (to list matters, holds, and export status); View your data in Google Cloud Storage (read-only, to retrieve the export files Vault produces); and basic sign-in identity (email and profile).

No Gmail, Drive, Calendar, or Admin scopes are requested. Granted scopes are recorded and are not broadened.

Note: ScoopVault's Google OAuth application is fully verified. You will not see an "unverified app" warning.
