Creating a matter and running your first investigation
ScoopVault follows one core workflow: Search, Analyse, Prioritise, Investigate, Produce. Here is your first run through it.
Create a matter
Click + New Matter on the Matters page. Matters correspond to legal hold matters in Google Vault.
The core workflow
1. Search: Add custodians, set date ranges, optionally add keywords and proximity terms.
2. Analyse: Click Run Search. ScoopVault exports data from Vault, processes emails, and runs AI analysis.
3. Prioritise: Review Overview (narrative summary), Risks (flagged communications, confidence-scored), and Key Cases (grouped, prioritised findings).
4. Investigate: Use the Ask tab for natural language questions, and Findings, Clusters, and Emails for deeper review. Flag emails and add notes as you work.
5. Produce: Export the PDF report. A full audit trail is attached to every investigation, and a Chain of Custody PDF is available from the Downloads tab.
