Creating a matter and running your first investigation
ScoopVault follows one core workflow: Search, Analyse, Prioritise, Investigate, Produce. Here is your first run through it.
Create a matter
Click + New Matter on the Matters page. Matters correspond to legal hold matters in Google Vault.
The core workflow
1. Set up the collection search: On the New Search page, add custodians, set date ranges, and optionally add keywords, participants and proximity terms.
2. Collect: Click Run Search. Google Vault performs the authorised collection, and ScoopVault retrieves and processes the returned export. AI-assisted analysis is available by default to pilot workspaces. It is a separate analysis stage and is not necessarily invoked by every workflow.
3. Analyse: Understand what the collected evidence shows through Overview and Risks. If an AI stage is unavailable, these stages complete without AI and say so.
4. Prioritise: Focus attention where it matters using Explore, Ask and Clusters. Ask and Clusters are AI-assisted analysis stages, available by default to pilot workspaces.
5. Investigate: Examine the evidence in context with Search this job, flag important messages and record notes.
6. Produce: Prepare and download the evidence outputs you need from Produce. ScoopVault records material workflow actions.
