How AI-assisted analysis fits in

AI-assisted analysis is a separate capability from search. Exact and Connected search are deterministic and involve no AI whatsoever, whether or not AI-assisted analysis is configured for your workspace.

The route, where enabled

Where AI-assisted analysis is enabled for your workspace, ScoopVault uses Google-managed Claude models through Google Cloud (Vertex AI), in Google's European region, inside the same Google Cloud processing chain that already covers hosting. It is not a separate AI vendor, and it is not used to train any model.

It depends on configuration

AI-assisted functions depend on configured Google Cloud model availability for your workspace. Where that is not enabled, ScoopVault still runs in full: collection, evidence handling, Exact and Connected search, the Chain of Custody, and the audit trail are all unaffected, and the analysis stages record plainly that they completed without AI.

What it can affect, where enabled

Summaries, thematic grouping, the Ask tab, narrative text, and which material is surfaced or prioritised for your attention first.

Where AI-assisted analysis is enabled, AI-derived signals can contribute to what surfaces first and how items are prioritised for review. Deterministic signals and AI provenance are recorded separately, so you can always see which contributed.

AI does not determine wrongdoing and does not decide any outcome. Priority guides review attention only. The reviewer decides what follows.
